What do Pickeasy reviews say?
Pickeasy’s reviewers mostly praise its support team, often by name. And that team does a lot of the setup for you. Pickeasy’s own pricing page invites you to “Book a Zoom meeting with us” so its team can “help you set up the app.”
Sounds handy, right? Not for everyone.
Some merchants find it a lot of hand-holding. In one merchant’s words:
★★★★★"The app is a little complicated for inexperienced users. The support team is sometimes hard to reach and can take days to resolve issues. But when you get the right agent, everything works quite well."
Fair’s fair: plenty of merchants like that hands-on help. One five-star reviewer wrote, “It definitely takes some time to set up so highly recommend the zoom call!”
Reviews aside, the plans can push you out too. Your free plan stops at 10 orders a month at one location, and a second location means moving up to Smart, at $19.99 a month.
Pickeasy alternatives compared
Here’s how all four stack up for you. Every price is USD per month, from each app’s Shopify App Store listing, except Bird’s $5 extra-location fee, which comes from Bird’s pricing page.

The best Pickeasy alternatives for Shopify
1. Kite by KiteLane: best Pickeasy alternative for more orders on a budget
Best for: florists, bakeries, grocers and butchers, and meal prep kitchens whose customers pick a day and a time slot for pickup or local delivery, from one location or several.
Kite’s date and time picker is built for orders with a deadline: a cake for Saturday, flowers for a birthday, meal prep for Monday. It’s rated 5.0 on the Shopify App Store.
Here’s what you get:
- 30 free orders a month. You get pickup, local delivery and shipping, time slots, prep time, cut-off times and blackout dates on the free plan. Pickeasy’s free plan stops at 10.
- A second location for $5.99. You add more pickup locations on Grow, with no location cap set by KiteLane. On Pickeasy, you need Smart, at $19.99.
- Google Calendar for $9.99. Advanced adds Google Calendar integration, and lets you limit how many orders you take per day and per time slot. On Pickeasy, Google Calendar starts on Smart, at $19.99.
- Delivery rates on the free plan. You set delivery rates by order value and weight on every plan, including Free.
- You set it up yourself. You switch Kite on in your theme editor as an app embed called Date Time Picker, and it shows on your cart page and in a slide-out cart.
How florists, bakeries, grocers, butchers and meal prep kitchens use Kite:
-
Florists: you block your holiday hours with blackout dates, and on Advanced you limit how many orders you take in each Mother's Day slot, so you never take more bouquets than you can make.
-
Bakeries: you bake to order, so you set a prep time and nobody books tomorrow's pickup for a cake that needs two days.
-
Grocers and butchers: you open a second pickup location on Grow, and on Advanced you limit each delivery slot to what your van can carry.
-
Meal prep kitchens: you set a cut-off time, so Monday's orders close when your shopping list does.
Running two locations? Each one can share your schedule or keep its own hours.
In your cart, your customers pick the location first, then the day and time.
Here’s what merchants on Kite say:
★★★★★"very user friendly, easy to install and to use!"
★★★★★"Great app. Reasonable pricing for small businesses."
Good to know: Kite focuses on pickup and delivery orders your customers place online, so it doesn't connect to Shopify POS, set delivery rates by distance or zip code, or plan delivery routes. You get order limits with the Advanced plan, at $9.99 a month.
Price: Free (up to 30 orders a month) · Grow $5.99 (up to 300) · Advanced $9.99 (up to 1,500) · Plus $14.99 (no monthly cap). 14-day free trial on paid plans. Full comparison: Kite vs Pickeasy.

2. Zapiet: best Pickeasy alternative for many locations and carrier rates
Best for: shops with more than 20 pickup locations, or shops that also ship and want UPS or FedEx rates at checkout.
Why you might choose it. Zapiet’s Professional plan covers up to 100 locations, at $179.99, while Pickeasy’s listing asks you to contact them past 20. You also get Shopify POS on every Zapiet plan.
Ship as well as deliver? Zapiet documents how to show UPS rates when your customer picks Shipping, with the carrier added in Shopify.
Pickeasy’s help center doesn’t cover UPS or FedEx rates. In November 2025, its developer told a merchant: “Pickeasy doesn’t support live carrier integrations,” and pointed to a separate Logbase app for live carrier rates. That merchant said they were going back to Zapiet.
Watch-outs: Zapiet has no free plan. Each plan also caps your monthly orders: 250 on Essential, 1,000 on Advanced and 2,500 on Professional. Order limits start on Advanced, at $79.99. With UPS or FedEx rates, Shop Pay is the only express checkout Zapiet supports, and whether you can connect your own carrier account depends on your Shopify plan.
Price: Essential $49.99 (1 location, 250 orders) · Advanced $79.99 (1 to 10 locations, 1,000 orders) · Professional $179.99 (1 to 100 locations, 2,500 orders). 14-day trial. See Kite vs Zapiet or our Zapiet alternatives guide.
Here’s what merchants report:
★★★★★"The app can handle pickup and zones, but advanced distance-based pricing is not very intuitive to configure. Support was helpful, but expect a learning curve for more complex delivery setups."
★★★★★"Our staff keeps finding orders that have been fulfilled in Zapiet but don't get updated in Shopify."
3. Bird: best Pickeasy alternative for delivery priced by zip code or distance
Best for: florists and grocers whose delivery charge changes by zip code, postcode or distance from the shop.
Why you might choose it. Bird Pickup & Delivery Date’s listing promises “Delivery rates by zip code or distance, plus same-day & peak-time surcharges” in the same app. Bird’s help center says you can charge by zip or postal code, by distance from your store, or by delivery zone.
Kite doesn’t set delivery rates by zip code or distance. So if that’s how you price delivery, Bird fits you better.
Watch-outs: The listing doesn't say which plan includes zip code or distance rates, and distance rates need your own Google Maps API key. Google Calendar and order limits start on Growth, at $49.99, and Bird's pricing page charges $5 a month for each location past your plan's limit (1 on Essential). On Kite, more pickup locations start at $5.99, and Google Calendar and order limits at $9.99.
Price: Free (1 location, 10 orders a month) · Essential $19.99 (1 location, 250 orders) · Growth $49.99 (1 to 4 locations, 1,000 orders) · Scale $99.99 (1 to 20 locations, 2,500 orders). 14-day trial. See Kite vs Bird.
One of Bird’s low-star reviews is about support:
★★★★★"Everytime I would reply to email I would be speaking with someone new every single time"
When should you stay on Pickeasy?
Pickeasy is the better pick if your store needs one of these things. Some merchants switch to it, too.
- Shopify POS on a budget. Your staff can take pickup orders at the counter from Starter, at $9.99. Kite has no POS integration.
- Order limits for free. If you take up to 10 orders a month, Pickeasy’s free plan already limits orders per time slot and checks zip codes.
- Someone to set it up with you. Pickeasy’s team offers Zoom calls to set the app up for you, and reviewers praise them by name.
If that’s your store, stay on Pickeasy.
How to switch from Pickeasy to Kite
Ready to move? Pick a quiet week, not the week before Mother’s Day or Christmas. Then follow Kite’s four-step setup guide inside the app.
- Configure pickup & delivery. Copy your locations, time slots, prep time, cut-off times and blackout dates from Pickeasy.
- Configure shipping. If you ship too, set your shipping days, prep time and blackout dates.
- Enable widget on your cart. Switch on the Date Time Picker app embed in your theme, then switch off Pickeasy's widget.
- Place a test order. Book one pickup and one delivery on your own store.
The switch in four moves:
Set up Kite
Copy your rules while Pickeasy keeps taking orders.
Protect booked slots
Lower or block the slots that already have orders.
Switch pickers
Turn on Kite's embed, turn off Pickeasy's widget, and place test orders.
Uninstall Pickeasy
Wait until real orders come through with dates.
Before you uninstall, run through this checklist:
- List the orders already booked for future dates, and lower or block the slots they fill.
- Try to book a blackout date and a day past your cut-off time.
- Check out with each express button you offer, such as Shop Pay, and check the order carries a date.
- If you used order limits on Pickeasy's free plan, set them up again on Kite Advanced.

Mistakes to avoid when you switch
1 Losing the order limits you had for free
Pickeasy's free plan includes order limits per time slot. Kite's free plan doesn't, so a time slot you limited on Pickeasy can fill up past what you can make.
How to fixIf you rely on order limits per time slot, start Kite on Advanced ($9.99) with its 14-day free trial, and set your limits before you switch pickers.
2 Forgetting the orders already booked
Your new app doesn't know about the orders Pickeasy already took, so a full Saturday can look empty.
How to fixList every future-dated order before you switch, and lower or block those slots in the new app.
3 Assuming Shopify POS comes with you
If your staff take pickup orders at the counter through Pickeasy in Shopify POS, they lose that the day you switch to an app without POS.
How to fixStay on Pickeasy, or pick Zapiet (POS on every plan) or Bird, which lists Shopify POS on its plans. Kite has none.
4 Running two pickers at once
If Pickeasy's widget and Kite's picker both show in your cart, your customers can pick two different dates.
How to fixSwitch off Pickeasy's widget in the same sitting you switch on Kite's Date Time Picker, then place a test order.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Pickeasy alternative?
Kite, if you're a florist, bakery, grocer, butcher or meal prep kitchen and your customers pick a date and time slot. Its free plan covers 30 orders a month with time slots, prep time, cut-off times and blackout dates. Multiple pickup locations start at $5.99 a month and Google Calendar at $9.99, compared with $19.99 for both on Pickeasy.
Is there a free Pickeasy alternative?
Yes. Kite's free plan covers up to 30 orders a month with time slots, prep time, cut-off times and blackout dates, and Bird's free plan covers 10 orders a month at 1 location. Pickeasy's own free plan covers 1 location and up to 10 orders a month, and already includes order limits and a zip code check.
How much does Pickeasy cost?
Pickeasy's Shopify App Store listing has four plans: Free (1 location, up to 10 orders a month), Starter at $9.99 a month, Smart at $19.99 (up to 4 locations) and Premium at $29.99 (5 to 20 locations). Past 20 locations, the listing asks you to contact them. Each paid plan has a 14-day free trial.
Does Pickeasy work with Shopify POS?
Yes. Pickeasy includes Shopify POS from its $9.99 Starter plan. Kite has no Shopify POS integration, so if your staff take pickup orders at the counter, staying on Pickeasy may suit you better.
How many locations does Pickeasy support?
One on the free plan, up to 4 on Smart ($19.99 a month) and 5 to 20 on Premium ($29.99); past 20, its listing asks you to contact them. On Kite, multiple pickup locations start on Grow at $5.99, with no location cap set by KiteLane. Zapiet's Professional plan covers up to 100 locations at $179.99.
Pickeasy or Zapiet: which should I choose?
Pickeasy has a free plan and paid plans from $9.99 a month, while Zapiet has no free plan and starts at $49.99. Zapiet makes more sense if you want a listed plan for more than 20 locations (Professional covers up to 100, at $179.99), or UPS or FedEx rates next to pickup and delivery. In November 2025, Pickeasy's developer said Pickeasy doesn't support live carrier integrations and pointed to a separate Logbase app for them.
Is Bird better than Pickeasy?
Bird is the better pick if you charge delivery by zip code or distance, since it sets those rates in the same app. Otherwise it costs you more than Pickeasy: its paid plans start at $19.99 for 1 location, its pricing page adds $5 a month for each extra location, and Google Calendar and order limits start on Growth at $49.99. On Pickeasy, a second location and Google Calendar start at $19.99, and order limits are on the free plan.
How do I switch from Pickeasy without losing orders?
Set up the new app with its picker switched off, copy your locations, time slots, prep time, cut-off times and blackout dates, and lower or block the slots that already have orders. Then switch pickers in a quiet week, place test orders, and uninstall Pickeasy only after real orders come through with dates.
Can Kite do everything Pickeasy's free plan does?
Most of it, but not all on the free plan. Time slots, prep time, cut-off times and blackout dates are free on Kite up to 30 orders a month, and the zip code check comes with Grow ($5.99). Order limits per day and per time slot come with Advanced ($9.99).
Ready to add exact delivery and pickup times?
Date and time slots, prep time, cut-offs, and blackout dates, all on the free plan.
